The Gould Mountain Road is one of the more enjoyable trails in the Colorado State Forest. The route offers great views of the nearby Continental Divide and North Michigan Valley. This road is a leisurely drive suitable for novice 4-wheelers. The route is open for vehicles, OHV's, hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders. The fall season is a visual treat with the Aspen trees changing to their vibrant gold hue. Elk and moose are abundant in the Colorado State Forest and seeing wildlife is common for visitors.
