Overview

The East Fork Road offers some of the most astounding views of the sawtooth Uncompaghre Mountains you will find. The area is chock full of dispersed camping spots along the East Fork of the Cimarron River. This is an easy day trip, full of amazing photo stops, and in the summer, loaded with wildflowers to enhance the beauty of the landscape. Though not a frame bending experience, it certainly will elevate your sense of calm once you reach the end and arrive at the wilderness boundary, a fine place for a picnic lunch next to the gurgling river.
