Chicken Creek Road may not be very difficult, but when connected with other trails like Echo Basin and Helmet Peak it makes for a great day on the trail. The trail is a fun way to enter this region so you can get a little bit of four-wheeling in while on your way up to one of the higher elevation trails that's within this vast network. Be sure to choose one of the primitive campsites along this route, because you'll want to stay a few days to experience what this charming region of Colorado has to offer.
