McNasser Gulch is the northernmost route in the Red Mountain Trail system. The road is mostly used to access hiking trailheads for Ouray Peak (12,907'), Grizzly Peak (13,970'), and Garfield Peak (13,756'). The road is accessible for any 4x4 high-clearance vehicle with a low range. There are no existing dispersed campsites along the road. Dispersed camping is available along the South Fork Lake Creek Trail.
