The North Taylor Trail provides access up the North Taylor Creek Drainage to the Sangre De Cristo Wilderness Area. At this point, a hiking trail continues to Megan Lake. The trail travels through beautiful aspen groves and marked dispersed campsites along the route. The return trip is especially scenic, with panoramic views of the Westcliffe Valley below. There are a few steep climbs, but any stock 4x4 high-clearance vehicle with low range can manage the trip.
