Located just north of Gross Reservoir, in the Arapaho National Forests, Boulder County Road 68J is a rough, 4wheel drive road that connects Boulder with the small mountain community of Ridgewood. This road is an excellent start to escape the city bustle and connect to the amazing camping that is offered along Winiger Ridge. This road is open year-round, and its close proximity to the front range along with its south-facing slopes helps keep the trail relatively snow-free. Enjoy the solitude found in this area, but be sure to respect all private property.
