Overview

Medicine Bow Road is the only forest road that travels through 2 different States, 3 different counties, 3 different National Forests, and both sides of the US Continental Divide. This gradual route along the Divide passes by the old Village Belle Mine and a dilapidated log homestead. A history of railroad tie hacking and mining are found in this forest. It is common for you to be the only person on this trail as you explore this area.
