Overview

Columbine Sale is kind of the orphaned cousin of the Yankee Hill network. No longer connected to the network, it sits alone largely unknown and overlooked. Even so, this little out and back spur has plenty of charm and beauty as it winds its way through pine forest and small aspen groves over small ruts and mildly rock spots. This is an ideal trail if you are looking for easy access to a place to have a secluded picnic in the forest. On the way out you are treated to some very nice views of General Chase Gulch Reservoir and the surrounding area.
