Overview

Gamble Spur is a short but important connection in the extensive network of trails around Dakota Hill and Oregon Hill. Running parallel to and eventually connecting with Gamble Gulch Connector, it offers a steeper, narrower option for accessing the network. This trail is generally tighter among the trees but does open up in a few places to offer beautiful views of the surrounding hills. It also features some impressive mining ruins around the remains of the Gold Flint Mine. It can be run with Gamble Gulch Connector as a quick loop off of Gamble Gulch or can be combined with several trails in the network for an all-day adventure.
