Montgomery Pass

Montgomery Pass is a trail that climbs over 2000' towards the Continental Divide just west of the Rawah Wilderness area in North central Colorado. This trail is in the Colorado State Forest. It requires 4WD and can be more difficult during wet conditions. The lower half of the trail goes through a thick forest of lodgepole pines while the upper half begins to open up to allow for views of nearby Clark Peak and the North Michigan River valley below. The trail is suitable for aggressive SUVs, UTV's, ATV's, horses and mountain bikes.
