Just west of Telluride, County Road 58P is a dirt road connector between the town of Sawpit and Last Dollar Road. After quickly climbing the ridge out of Sawpit, this road becomes a high-speed dirt road alternative to Highway 62. This road is a well-maintained, graded dirt road with speed limit signs of 40MPH. The road travels entirely through private property and passes a number of very large ranches in the area, including the Hastings Ranch. There is no camping along this route due to the private property, and the entire road can be traversed in about 20 minutes. 58P offers great views of the abundant grassland, Hastings Mesa, and North Pole Peak.
