Muddy Creek Overlook is a short, easy spur off of Muddy Pass that leads to an epic, 360-degree view of the Gore Range to the north, Beaver Creek ski resort to the southeast, and the wide open sage and scrub to the west. The trail is all easy two-track. Several water brakes are tall enough to filter out the minivan crowd. There is a fire ring at the summit but would not consider this a campsite.
