Mad Creek Spur is the only spur road off the main Mad Creek trail. It is less than half a mile long and deadends at several large campsites. These campsites are larger than any along Mad Creek and would be suitable for small groups. The road climbs steadily and steeply and has several small rock sections. The most challenging spot along this road is a turn where the center of the road is eroded down, and several small rocks must be carefully negotiated. Any high clearance 4-wheel drive vehicle can manage this trail.
