Yankee Town is presumably one of the main streets through the old ghost town of Yankee Hill, but nothing remains of the town itself. This important connector in the Arapaho National Forest's Yankee Hill network provides alternative access to Washoe Gulch, Cumberland Gulch, and Sheridan Hill. The road is mostly rough dirt with small rocks and ruts and occasionally slightly larger rocks and ruts, but nothing difficult. There are nice views of the surrounding mountains at the top end of the trail and nice campsites on the lower portion between Washoe Gulch and Cumberland Gulch. On the east end, a short connector provides a shortcut if you are traveling to or from the main Yankee Hill trail.
