Little Bald, combined with Rocky Beaver, makes a nice connection between Pearl Beaver Road and Sand Creek Pass. The northern half of the trail is narrow, with tight turns between the trees. It's also moderately steep in places with washed-out ruts and exposed tree roots. There are several rough, rocky sections also. Once you get to the top, the trail levels out, widens, and smooths out for the southern half. There is a significant discrepancy with the MVUM on the northern half of the trail. The MVUM map shows the trail quite a bit east of the actual road, but there is no road there. Just stay on the existing road, and you'll be fine. Dispersed camping is allowed on the route, but no suitable sites were found.
