La Mota Road

In Spanish, La Mota translates to "the weed." The weeds along this trail are not the main draw. What you will remember is the reddish lava-strewn landscape with La Mota Mountain in the background as you make your way to the camping opportunities along this trail. Camping is either nestled up to rocks or in a wide-open bowl looking at the distant plateaus and the notable La Mota Mountain. Either setting makes for a delightful and memorable camping experience.
