Overview

NP 230 sits just north of Lake Powell in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. It is an incredibly scenic trail, providing access to overlooks of Lake Powell, most notably, Alstrom Point. This is a fantastic trail for someone looking for an easier day out on the trail, and just to take in the amazing natural scenery of the Grand Staircase - Escalante area. It is also part of a great backcountry/overland route to connect the town of Big Water, Utah to Escalante, Utah. If you are looking for amazing views and some good dispersed camping, this is a great option for you.
