Cave Towers is a short rocky track off Highway 95 that leads to two hiking trailheads serving the same trail. The relatively easy hiking trail leads to the edge of Mule Canyon and a collection of ancient cliff dwellings and granaries in the canyon's alcoves. A stone tower sits above the edge of the canyon.
Two-wheel drive vehicles can make it to the first trailhead, which has plenty of parking. The hike from here is about 1.5 miles round trip. Proceeding past the first trailhead required 4WD and decent clearance. There is a rock ledge obstacle and a section across undulating slickrock. The lower trailhead has parking for four vehicles and a 200-yard walk to the edge of Mule Canyon and the ruins.
Camping is possible at either trailhead.
