West Fork Creek is in the beautiful Boise National Forest, and the trailhead is literally less than 2 hours from Boise. Driving in on the Middle Fork Payette trail, you'll pass dozens of dispersed campsites and several designated campgrounds alongside the Payette River. This trail travels west up to the ridgeline, where you will have several options for returning to the main trail. This trail has a large campsite only one-mile from the trailhead, and at the halfway point there is a large area along West Fork Creek with several nice campsites with fire rings. This area appears to cater to hunters from the hanging evidence present, so not recommended for camping during hunting season.
