Not to be confused with the Behind The Rocks Trail, Behind The Rocks Road is a rough and rocky 15-mile long connector road that offers great primitive camping no matter what camp setup you have. From tenting and car camping to travel trailers and RVs, there is definitely a spot along this road for everyone. The road is most accessible on the east end and gets rougher the farther west you travel. This road connects to many popular sightseeing areas, including Balcony Arch, Picture Frame Arch, and Behind The Rocks Sand Dunes. It is also the main exit connector from the popular hardcore trails Pritchett Canyon and Behind The Rocks Trail, connecting those folks back to Highway 191. This trail has both fast and slow crawling sections but is not difficult.
