Honey Hill West and Thompson Branch are two different road names, but they are joined as one. This route takes you through lush pine, with pine needles even making up a portion of the road surface. The west end is near the Coffee Creek Swamp, a perfect spot to pull over and have lunch or even lounge around for a while. These two roads will tease you and make you want to disperse camp, but dispersed motorized camping is prohibited in the forest. However, at the east end, Honey Hill West Recreation Area has several designated campsites.
