Zimmerman Tower, FR228, is joined by the open portion of Loleta Grade, FR 131, at its northern terminus. It travels through a thick forest mixed with pine and hardwood trees. There are several good campsites along the way. There is evidence of oil and gas activity and logging operations where the trees have been cleared, resulting in patches where the forest opens up. It is an easy road that any vehicle can drive in dry conditions.
