Trail D within Rausch Creek offers the longest and deepest water crossings for a "green" trail within the entire park. If water crossings are your thing, put this trail on your list. Since these are hard-bottomed water crossings with the propensity for large rocks that will bounce you around just underneath the surface, go slow and steady. Going fast might damage your vehicle, and the last thing you want to do is winch out or recover in the thick, murky, and very smelly mud.
As with the rest of the trails at Rausch Creek, primitive camping can be found (with advanced notice) in their main parking lot.
