Middle Fork Payette Ridge is in the beautiful Boise National Forest. This trail is somewhat removed from the main trail in the canyon below, and you must travel on one or more trails to reach either trailhead. Consequently, this trail is ideal for forming a perfect 30-mile loop to and from Middle Fork Payette. You have several trail choices for access, including, Schriver Creek, Six Mile, or West Fork Creek. Dispersed camping is allowed throughout the Boise National Forest, and several areas look ideal. However, no fire rings were observed.
