Pine Creek Road connects the north side of Mt. Laguna with Pine Valley. The trail is easy and mostly maintained, however, it's a one-lane road full of tight turns and steep inclines/declines. Part narrow shelf road, part meandering trail through oak groves, there is a lot to see and experience. 1600' of elevation separates the beginning and end of this trail.
Multiple hiking and biking paths cross Pine Creek Road, most notably the Nobel Canyon Trail. Watch out for downhill mountain bikers crossing at 1.25 miles and 1.8 miles from the north end of the road.
There are multiple spots for dispersed camping along this route. Some are fully open with no shade, while others are covered with large oak canopies. The route is in the Cleveland National Forest, so an Adventure Pass may be required.
