East Freeman Road is an easy graded dirt road. It provides access from State Route 79 into Arizona State Trust Land and the significant number of trails in this area. The track runs through state trust land, BLM managed land, and private property. There are multiple locations to camp along the East Freeman. Most sites are off the road to provide additional privacy and have space for multiple rigs. A few wash crossings showed signs of fast-moving water when it rained. Be cautious in this area during monsoon storms. Since this is a county road, no state trust permit is required to use the road. It would require a permit if you branch off onto other trails or camp on the state trust land.
Continuing east, you will intersect with Barkersville Road, North Freeman Road, and Willow Springs Road.
