The trail's end will get you within 0.8 miles of the Colorado River. The final section can be hiked to the remnants of the old ranger station on the bank of the river.
This trail is generally rock and gravel until you get to the wash, where the remaining section is deep sand. 4WD is needed to navigate this area. Camping is available at the end of the trail, with room for multiple vehicles to park easily.
